Mechaxil Climate Sensor (SHT4x)

Compact temperature and humidity sensor module based on the Sensirion SHT4x series.

Overview

This board provides accurate temperature and relative humidity measurements over I2C.

  • Sensor: SHT4x
  • Interface: I2C
  • Default Address: 0x44
  • Voltage: 3.3V only

Features

  • High accuracy temperature and humidity sensing
  • Mechaxil 5-wire I2C connector (JST S5B-PH)
  • M3 Mounting holes for easy integration

Connector Pinout

SDA - GND - 3V3 - GND - SCL

Notes

  • Designed for robust I2C communication

  • Dual GND improves signal return paths

  • Compatible with:

    • Twisted pair cables (2x2+1)
    • Ribbon cables

Electrical

  • Supply voltage: 3.3V

  • I2C speed:

    • 100 kHz recommended
    • 400 kHz supported

Pull-ups

  • Included by default on module

Layout Notes

  • Sensor placed to minimize heat influence
  • Keep airflow around sensor for best accuracy

Usage

  1. Connect to a 3.3V I2C controller
  2. Use address 0x44
  3. Send measurement command
  4. Read temperature and humidity data

  • This module measures relative humidity
  • Absolute humidity can be calculated in software
  • Not 5V tolerant
