Built for war. Restored for joy.

An interactive 3D showroom of three Second World War legends — the P-51 Mustang, Bf 109, and Yak-3 — modelled by hand in Blender and presented with Three.js, a custom GLSL shader, and bloom post-processing.

Built for the Interactive 3D App module at the University of Sussex (Level 6, 2025/26).

Running locally

python -m http.server 8000

Then open http://localhost:8000. Don't use file:// — ES module imports require http://.

Licences

3D models, textures, palettes, animations, and written copy are the author's own work. Engine sound is "Small Propeller Plane Flyby" by kalsstockmedia on Pixabay (Pixabay Content Licence). HDRI is Royal Esplanade from the Three.js examples (MIT). Full citations on references.html.
