I am currently trying to download this files as per your lessons in Lynda.
But running into npm install issue with...

How to get past this ? Is there some contribution that I need to make to get past this issue ?

Set fund=false in your ~/.npmrc file.
or
run command npm config set fund false
or add FUND = false as environment variable (Windows/Unix).
